Bingo: Body, Play and Presence
A shared space for performance
Bingo brings the body into a space between play, fantasy and vulnerability. Presented at Madame Moustache in Brussels on 29 October 2021, the performance included Philemon Mukarno as part of an ensemble. This page documents his participation in that shared live event.
The body as a language
Nudity is approached here as a form of artistic expression. Without the familiar signals of clothing, attention shifts towards presence, exposure and the relationship between bodies. The performance invites a way of looking that leaves room for both curiosity and uncertainty.
Between playfulness and vulnerability
The title suggests a game, while the performance opens a more intimate field of encounter. Playfulness and vulnerability sit alongside one another: being visible can feel both freeing and uncomfortable. Rather than resolving that tension, this documentation offers a space in which to consider it.
Philemon Mukarno in performance
For Philemon Mukarno, participation in this ensemble forms part of an ongoing exploration of the body as an artistic medium. The material gathered here places his presence within a collective performance, not a solo work.
