Sonic Bath (2024) continuous performance

Sonic Bath was performed during a residency at Live Art Ireland, Milfort House, Co. Tipperary, Ireland. July 2024. Part of the La Pocha Nostra & VestAndPage Alumni Summit, curated by Deej Fabyc.

Standing naked before the altar, Mukarno performed overtone singing — guttural harmonics building through continuous breath. As the sound sustained, red light moved across his body. A prayer. A bath of sound and light.

The performance closed in silence. Hands folded. Gratitude for the green fields, the Irish sky, the clouds.
